Can pdf file be edited in photoshop

As already mentionend – editing in Photoshop is bad, because vector graphics are converted into raster graphics.

There are a couple of useful editing features in Acrobat Pro , even in Acrobat 8 Pro, which I'm still using.

– Insert, Append, Extract, Replace, Delete Pages.

– Edit text, for instance typos, using the Touch up text tool.

– Edit images by Photoshop, using the Touch up object tool:

PDFs are generally not meant for editing and thus quite limited even in Acrobat. The only way to "edit" them in PS is to import the file and let it be rasterized. You cannot create multi-page PDFs with PS.

I repeat: No, it's absolutely true that the file is rasterised. Nobody who cares about quality would do that, even if they can edit and it looks sorta similar. The people making YouTube videos often have no clue.

@Test Screen Name and @Mylenium are completely right. Photoshop is not the tool of choice to edit PDF files, even if you can open and save PDF files.

The best method to edit a PDF is to go back to the original source file, edit in the original program and return a new PDF. All other solutions may work, but they also may fail or modify the source PDF considerably.

I don't think so, you would need Adobe Acrobat XI Pro. to edit/merge PDFs. It's the right tool for that job.

To be absolutely sure: you CAN open a single page PDF and CAN save from Photoshop. But generally it is a very bad idea, ruins the PDF.

– Optimize file size.

Altogether one has a couple of chances for last minute corrections, often simpler than going back to the generating program

and extremely helpful, if this program is not or no more available.

Please tell us your special task, then we will see what we can do – not by Photoshop but by Acrobat Pro.
